Jessica Stock, Esq.
I am the Founder and Managing Director of Stock ADR Consulting. My entire career has been dedicated to the business of ADR with a focus on recruiting, launching, and promoting neutrals.
Like you, many years ago I wanted to become a mediator. In my first year as a practicing attorney, I sought out my 40-hour mediation certification from Mediation Works Inc. (MWI) in Boston. Fast forward a year later, I found myself sitting in a classroom on the west coast at the prestigious Straus Institute at Pepperdine University School of Law in pursuit of my LL.M. degree in dispute resolution. During that time, I had the immense opportunity to mediate over 100 cases at the Santa Monica Courthouse and work alongside some very prestigious private mediators. I quickly realized how difficult it would be to break into this niche field and that to do so, I would have to go back to practicing law. With the help and guidance of mentors, I pivoted. Consequently, I have worked as a top-level executive for four well-known ADR providers in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. It was during this time that I developed my craft as a marketing and business development strategist, having launched and maintained the careers of many successful mediators.
The insight that I have developed over the last 20 years is quite unique. I know what works and what doesn’t. I have a perspective that is unlike other ADR consultants in that I know what it’s like to mediate. I have shadowed some of the most talented mediators in the country. More importantly, I know how hard it is to break into the industry. I have counseled and advised mediators who have struggled for years to get their practices up and running. With hard work and persistence, they have proven to be some of my greatest achievements. My entire career people have told me that I care too much about the success of my neutrals. Personally, I believe that is my greatest strength. That’s why I created Stock ADR Consulting so that I can help both new and existing mediators all throughout the country develop and enhance their practices. I look forward to adding you to that list.
